PSV – Sparta Rotterdam

PSV will start in the second half of the season with a home game against Sparta. PSV and Sparta will play also next Tuesday against each other for the Dutch Cup. This game will be played in Rotterdam. PSV played last week a friendly against AC Milan and won with 3-0. Noni Madueke played a very good game and scored 2 goals. Also PSV won against Sassuolo (1-2) and Rakow (4-2) his friendly game. In the competition PSV won 10 of 14 games so they are number 3 in Eredivisie and 3 points behind leader Feyenoord. PSV sold his best player Cody Gakpo last week to Liverpool so they are looking for a new left winger. Tonight El Ghazi will start as left winger. Boscagli and Mauro Junior are injured.

Sparta played also some good friendlies last weej and won against Vitesse (1-0) and Spezia (1-3). They are surprising every body with their 6^th place in Eredivisie. They have now 24 points after 14 games and are now 6 points behind opponent PSV. Sparta isn’t a very good away team because they won just 2 of 6 away games this season. Coach Maurice Steijn didn’t get any point in his 10 games against PSV and Sparta didn’t win in their last 20 games against PSV. Sparta is missing Younes Namli and Jonathan de Guzman tonight.

PSV is the big favorite and I see them win here tonight. But the defense of PSV is still weak and they had just 1 clean sheet in their last 5 games in the competition. Also Sparta scored at least 1 goal in 5 of their last 6 head to head games. With Van Crooij and Lauritsen they have players who can score a goal so the best option here is both teams to score.
